Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Wanshing Machinery in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting needs of the company. You will also assist with general office tasks and occasional customer communication as needed. Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Finance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare and process invoices and quotes in a timely and accurate manner.
Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Assist with tax filing preparation, including GST/PST remittance and year-end reporting.
Flag discrepancies and provide regular financial summaries to management.
Office & Administrative Support
Assist with general office tasks and day-to-day administrative support as needed.
Handle occasional incoming calls and respond to customer emails in a professional manner.
Maintain and organize financial documents and office records.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment.
Software: Proficient in QuickBooks. Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Bookkeeping Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and tax filing.
Experience with GST/PST remittance and year-end tax preparation is a strong asset.
Language Skills: Fluent verbal and written English is required. Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is not required but is considered a strong asset.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy; well-organized; able to work independently with minimal supervision; trustworthy and discreet when handling financial information; comfortable with occasional customer-facing communication.
What We Offer
Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time available, schedule to be discussed at interview.
